It's the most wonderful time of the year! Get in the festive spirit with RU.

Rockhurst University's Young Alumni Council invites Rockhurst alumni and friends to visit Santa Claus at our annual Christmas event on Saturday, Dec. 3! All ages are welcome, refreshments will be served, and special activities for children will be available. 

NEW this year! We will be welcoming alumni-owned small businesses for a Holiday Mart including Catalina Stiching Company (Laura (Koch) Wood, '11), maisie&margot (Yami Huerta, '21) and Macramade KC (Gianna Procopio, '10)! You will be able to knock out some holiday shopping and support local alumni businesses.

Our RU bookstore will stay open on Saturday. Pop inside for to grab RU merchadise and gifts!

It is free to attend, but please let us know that you're coming. 

In lieu of a registration fee for this event, we will be collecting donations supporting two local philanthropic programs. One is the Operation Breakthrough Holiday Store for new toy and game donations. This program supports over 800 children in the Kansas City area receive gifts during the holiday season. A list of requested donation items will be sent via your confirmation email. Please donate items unwrapped. The other is a winter coat collection supporting Grandma's Pantry here on campus. We will collect both children and adult sizes, new and gently used coats accepted. Gently used coats will need to be washed prior to donation. Learn more about Grandma's Pantry here!

Musica Sacra Concert: Vivaldi, "Gloria in D Major, RV 589," Durante, "Magnificat in C Minor" and Traditional Carols

Sunday, December 4, 7:30 p.m.

Arrupe Hall Auditorium

Musica Sacra performs music by Antonio Vivaldi, the most prominent composer of the Italian baroque. Francesco Durante , his contemporary, was one of the most popular of composers from Naples in the early 18th century. Musica Sacra will present a rarely performed work that demonstrates his extraordinary gift of melody. Live program notes by Timothy McDonald,Ph.D. at 6:45 p.m. Register here.
